The Avro Anson XII was a British-built variant of the Anson, serving primarily as a light transport aircraft. It was very similar to the Anson XI. The Anson XII was powered by two 420 h.p. Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah XV engines, which drove Rotol two-blade constant-speed airscrews. Like the Anson XI, it featured a raised cabin roof to provide more headroom in the cabin and incorporated hydraulically-operated landing gear and flaps. In its civil form, this variant was known as the Avro XIX. The Anson XII had a loaded weight of 9,500 lbs. (4,313 kg.).
