The Anson Mk XIX variant is known as the Avro XIX in its civil guise. This version was primarily a light transport aircraft. It was powered by two 420 h.p. Armstrong Siddeley Cheetah XV engines, which drove Rotol two-blade constant-speed airscrews. The Anson XII, to which the Avro XIX was similar, featured a raised cabin roof for increased headroom and utilized hydraulically-operated landing gear and flaps. The dimensions of the Avro XIX included a span of 56ft 6in, with Series 2 models having a span of 57ft 6in, a length of 42ft 3in, and a height of 13ft 10in. Its empty weight was 7,419lb (Series 2 at 6,576lb), and its loaded weight was 10,500lb. Performance figures indicate a maximum speed of 190mph at 15,000ft for the Series 2 (157mph), a cruise speed of 174mph at 5,800ft (Series 2 at 149mph), and a service ceiling of 15,000ft (Series 2 at 16,000ft). The aircraft had a range of approximately 660 miles when carrying six passengers. Notably, the Avro XIX was not fitted with any armament.
