Jagdtiger (Hunting Tiger) was german heavy tank destroyer. The official German designation was 12,8 cm Panzerjäger Tiger Ausf. B. Ordnance inventory designation: Sd. Kfz. 186. Other designations: Jagdpanzer VI Jagdtiger; 12,8cm Pak 44 auf Panzerjäger Tiger.
Jagdtigers were the most heavily armed and protected of all the armoured fighting vehicles used during World War 2. Jagdtiger first battle action was in the Ardennes, than later in the defence of Germany. With 250 mm armor Jagdtiger was an incredible machine, but was undepowered and hard to manoeuvre. The same engine being used in lighter afv.
