The Fiat-Ansaldo M11/39 was a medium tank used by Italy from 1939 through World War II. Designed as a breakthrough tank, its career was cut short due to shortcomings such as a weak hull-mounted 37mm gun and armor that was too light. The hull design was used in the development of the more succesful M13/40, M14/41 and M15/42.
